sausages

JJ had a good breakfast today of some oatibix, toast, banana and grapes. For lunch he had 2 whole crumpets, a big chunk of cheese and some grapes and he loved every mouthful!

Tea tonight was cumberland sausage, mashed potato, cauliflower and carrots which he really enjoyed although he wasn't in a carrot mood tonight! This was followed by some stewed dried apricots which I blended and mixed with natural yogurt. He loved it - I couldn't get it to him quick enough. He is so good with yogurt now - hardly makes any mess (unlike the yogurt explosions when we first started!) he licks it off the spoon and the hands his spoon back for another go. He also likes to try to get it with the spoon himself but he isn't too good....yet! He is actually so much less messy in general than he was - I only realise this when I look back at the (thousands of) old photos!

Scary tea time!

Tired sleepy boy!


JJ had some breakfast this morning which was an improvement on yesterday (although he had been up a lot in the night again)and enjoyed a few of my cornflakes with his weetabix .

He had some philly on toast for lunch with quite a bit of yogurt and banana from his dad.

For tea he had mashed potato, sausage, broccoli and califlower with plum for pudding. He is still finding it very funny to sqiush and throw food but it tends to be back down onto his tray now which is not so bad.

He also scared the life out of me - I took of the main tray off his high chair which holds him in quite securely, and there is a small play tray underneath. I tend not to strap him in as there is no way he can get out with his tray on and I think I could whip him out quickly if he were choking that way. Anyway, I took off the big tray turned round to put it on the side and when I turned back he had stood up in his high chair and was grinning at me over the back!!! I am such a bad mummy! If he had fallen I would have never forgiven myself! He thought it was great though. From now on he will be strapped in or I will leave the big tray on at all times. He then decided it was great fun to pull himself up for the rest of the evening onto his toys, sofa etc. It amazes me how he just start doing these things almost out of the blue.

Pancakes and turkey sausages

Same stuff for breakfast again with the addition of dried figs - JJ liked these a lot but sneezed it out after sucking on it for ages!



I got adventurous with panckaes for lunch (got the idea from this cool blog www.myblwexperiences.blogspot.com) and did spinach and ricotta pancakes and berry and creme fraiche pancakes - JJ gobbled them up so quickly it was great to watch! He really enjoyed them but made much less mess than usual - guess he didn't play with it as much as he was enjoying eating it! I enjoyed them too!





For tea I made some turkey and apple mini sausages (got the idea from Aitch's blog) and he had them with avocado and necarine. He seemed to enjoy them but tea was a bit late and he was tired so prefered to rub them in his eyes.
