Tagine

JJ trying to share his breakfast with the boy in the mirror

JJ and his daddy!

Monday JJ had oatibix for breakfast and a few grapes.

He had Homemade veggie soup for lunch - I took out the veggies and he had them in his bowl but I kept the liquid seperate and dunked his bread in it for him - he's good with his bowl now but not ready for soup! He seemed to enjoy it. He also had some fruit and a chunk of cheese.

For tea we had lamb tagine and cous cous. He loves this meal and ate quite a bit. I also made a rice pudding and he ate this too along woth grapes (yep he has a bit of a thing for them at the min!)

Today JJ had a mixture of weetabix and oatibix for breakfast.

For lunch he had philly on toast, a banana and a frube! Never had one before - he refused to hold it prefering instead to open his mouth at me and make a noise like a baby bird so I would squeeze it in!

Tea was roast chicken, jacket potatoes, salad, french bread, more rice puding and a fair few blueberries. Yum!

The Weekend

Look at my little hobbit drinking with his feet!

We had a lovely weekend at JJ's nanna and Grandad's house. He ate usual things really. He did enjoy a picnic after me and his nanna and all his aunties and cousins did 'Race for Life'. He munched on veggie quiche, chicken and lots and lots of french bread and butter - a firm favourite at the minute.

Pasta

JJ had 2 weetabix, a plum and some nectarine for breakfast.

Lunch was a couple of cheese and apple scones which I defrosted, a pear and half a nectarine. IO must get baking as my freezer stash is about gone!

For tea we had pasta - chicken and bacon (although he didn't have the bacon). He just loves pasta - he has a big adult sized bowl but only eats about half. He shoves it in so quickly but a lot come back out when he has sucked off the sauce. He also had rice pudding.

Daddy day

Wednesday is work day for me so daddy is in charge. JJ aparantly had a great breakfast.

Lunch after swimming was philly on toast, a plum and some yogurt and banana. JJ was quite hungry and gobbled it all up.

We had Spanish Chicken (chicken, chorizo, peppers and mushrooms in a tomato sauce) and Jacket potatoes for tea. JJ actually ate quite a bit of the chicken - in the past he has mostly just sucked it but he was definitely eating it tonight. He loved the potato as usual. He had watermelon for pudding which was very juicy and messy.

It was lovely coming in today as JJ was soooo excited to see me, he practically jumped into my arms and was giggling and kissing me. I can definitely handle working a day a week if I get a reception like that!

soup

JJ had breakfast with his dad today who says he had a whole bowlful of oatabix, some blueberries and a suck of a strawberry.

Lunch was some nice homemade veggie soup - we cut the crust off a wholemeal loaf and cut it into fingers which we dunked in the soup for JJ who loved sucking it off. He also had some veg which I picked out before I whizzed the soup up - broccoli, chard and some carrot I think. He didn't have a very big lunch though - again!

For tea JJ enjoyed some 'chicken in a bag' a la Jamie Oliver (see recipes) and 2 jacket potatoes with cheese. He also had a plum and half a pear. Yum Yum!

Good food day and another tooth

Yummy scrummy drop scones

JJ actually trying to eat his fist!

JJ has got his second tooth today and he is eating well again - not a coincidence methinks!

He had a good breakfast of the usual. For lunch he had some philly on toast with some ham but mostly scoffed down drop scones (as did I and his daddy!) - they were rater fluffy and yummy. He also had some nectarine

For tea he had some griddled chicken breast which he seemed to enjoy (he isn't normally too fussed about chunks of meat), a cheesy jacket potato, some steamed veg (from those little frozen steam packets - not bad in a rush) and some watermelon. It all went down quite well apart from the sweetcorn which he didn't even entertain. And he didn't fall asleep tonight!
