Veggies galore

Mmmm this soup is gooood!

Austrian boiled eggs just taste better!

JJ has been enjoying his food as usual. He is a proper little boy now and seems so grown up...especially when I look back at the pictures on this blog! He eats beautifully with a fork, spoons in his cereals at breakfast and is still keen to try new things.

I now have an allotment and a greenhouse so he is currently enjoying lots of fresh veg. He is a bit of a monkey at sneaking into the greenhouse and picking and munching all the ripe cherry tomatoes (although they do taste sooo good home grown.) This week he tucked into 2 bowls of a yummy (and very green) veg soup made with lots of rainbow chard which we picked that morning. We are also picking up 3 chickens this week so we will have lovely fresh eggs each day. JJ developed a taste for boiled eggs for breakfast on a recent holiday to Austria so this should please him, as well as the fact that he is animal mad! He was great on holiday, eating anything we ate, his favourite being risotto. I think the staff at our hotel took a liking tohim as he was so appreciative of the food and ate so well!

Hope all the regulars and their little ones are well xxxx

Scrambled eggs and food flinging

Weetabix

Sweet potato and bean burgers - recipe on the blog!

Sunday was the usual breakfast but JJ didn't eat any of it - he just wanted to throw it all on the floor. We have never really had this problem with JJ before and I thought we had avoided it but he found it hilarous today!

Lunch was scrambled egg and french bread toast (I find he much prefers toasted french bread to normal bread and will eat much more). He quite liked it but ended up throwing it about again. He had some pear for pud.

Tea was veggies and my made up sweet potato and kidney bean burgers (recipe on the blog - see links). Once again most of it went on the floor - he didn't really have an appetite but enjoyed what he did eat. He also discovered the cup holder on his tray - it has always been there but he hasn't noticed it before - he enjoyed putting his toast and pear in there and taking it out again to eat!

Omlette

JJ had an interested breakfast today - I took some video as I never really pay much attention to breakfast on here but was often the meal which caused the most stress so thought it might be helpful to others to see him eating - However he had a really bad breakfast and generally just threw stuff on the floor - typical!

Lunch was an omlette - a first for JJ. He has never had proper eggs before - just eggs in other things like pancakes. He had a cheese omlette and loved it. He also had some mango and a cheese and apple scone left over from yesterday.

For tea JJ had some mash, carrot and mackerel. He loved the carrot and fish but was not so keen on the mash toady. He also had some yogurt and some pear. It could have been the longest meal in history - he was definitely on a go slow!
