Large lunch and using his fork!

Yummy, JJ loves Shreddies!

What a poser!! He did this as soon as he saw the camera!

JJ had his new breakfast favourite shreddies again - he just loves em! He also had a little bit of my toast.

He had a long, leisurely and large lunch! I made some cheesy pancakes and he ate them all (6 in total!), along with a banana, some dried apricots and a tomato.

For tea JJ had chicken, mash and veggies and 2 kiwis for pudding. He also used his fork on his own properly which we caught on video. He seems to find the fork much easier than a spoon.

Other News:
JJ stood up and stayed up for a few seconds unsupported today which he hasn't done spontaneously before! He can also do the action to the song 'Wind the Bobbin up' Which is just the cutest thing!
He has also started to sleep for longer at nap times in the past week - an hour or so !!! Unheard of till now but I hoped I haven't jinxed it!

Hi,

Interested to see you are using bowls etc now?!?!

I am still putting it all on her tray as I am sure a bowl or plate will be chucked, especially as she is still doing the old 'windmill' arms when she decides she doesn't want any more and wants to clear her tray!

How long have you been using a bowl and did it get chucked on the floor often???

Hi Michelle,

We tried putting things in bowls a few weeks ago - he used to instantly throw them so we didn't expect him to leave them on his tray but he did! He did try to tip it a few times but I think he was just investgating. If we tell him no he leaves it alone (most of the time!). I must say it makes mealtimes much less messy and he seems to eat better - less overwhelmed by food everywhere I think. The forks we have done the same- just left them on his tray each meal, sometimes load them so he eats off them. Just this week he had started to really try to use them.

Hi Laura,
His Birthday is Christmas Eve - rubbish! His daddy is working so we are heading over to my mum's and he is having a joint family party there. Got to make a cake though so on the lookout for ideas!
